Adult RE Class: Helping Children Deal With Loss Thursday, July 8 through Thursday, August 12 From 7 - 9 pm. Educational Study Group for Adults to Help Children Deal with Death, Divorce, Pet Loss, Moving, and Other Losses. There are many Myths about dealing with sad emotions that confuse
children: Time heals all wounds ... Replace the loss ... Cry alone... Be strong for others... Bury your feelings... Don't feel bad, have a cookie, you'll feel better... In this 6-week summer Adult RE program you will learn how to re-place these myths with practical guidance for your children. All UUCT RE classes are free. We
will be using the paperback book When Children Grieve – For Adults to Help Children Deal with Death, Divorce, Pet Loss, Moving, and Other Losses by John W. James and Russell Friedman, c.2001. Copies may be obtained through the library or an online or local bookstore. Please contact the
class facilitator Robin Leigh to register. If you need childcare during the 2 hour class, we can try to arrange something if you make your needs known ahead of time. Robin Leigh, Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, can be reached at 813-571-1366 or email leigh520jr@yahoo.com. This
program is affiliated with and endorsed by The Grief Recovery Institute http://www.grief-recovery.com/.
